Reflecting on 2018.

Last weeks ice has made me cautious, had the Yax Trax on last week. It made me think I had not gotten anything done since that fall last January but that is the negative nag in my head talking.

In spite of the first half of 2018, I feel I was successful getting work made in the last half of the year. This composite is a sampling. Some are in the calendar.

There were two successful commissions this year.
A Quadtych Installed

Wedding Present
Tulips!

Then the very first painting after being away from the studio for 3 months. A Yay! moment.

The Right Brother, Bay of Fundy, Parrsboro
I still did not feel on top of my game though when I participated in the Parrsboro Plein Air Festival. I felt like an imposter. As if I was there by some accident. It was a great and amazing venue - 43-foot tides that weekend. Still trying to wrap my head around that. This painting shows low tide. High is up to the edges of the greenery. A figure would give it scale.

The sun is out! Gotta go find some blue shadows.

I'll be taking advantage of the warm studio. There will be more work showing up in the next couple of months.

Stay tuned.
